How much time is needed for photography
As for the most part I will be documenting your wedding day in a natural way without prompting from me, if in our pre-wedding consultation you would like me to do stylised portraits of you both away from the main wedding party allow upto one hour of your whole day, for example some pictures after formals and maybe some time-out later in the afternoon/evening. As for Formals photography this can take as little as 5 minutes with a shoot list with the assistance of a very good Best Man, Head Bridesmaid or Toastmaster. I strongly advice the assistance of someone who is similar with family members and guests, especially if that person doesn't mind being vocal. I can suggest a list of formals if requested. Usually we suggest formals take place after guests have had at least one drink as they are usually more relaxed then. This usually is the case after the wedding ceremony.

Post Production and Image Quality
All your wedding images are edited individually, colour density enhanced and print ready. The emphasize is on providing high quality wedding photography, in most cases you can expect 350+ fully edited images from a full wedding day (9+ hours coverage)
Your wedding images are usually ready within 3 weeks of your wedding date.

About High Resolution Image DVD's
DVD's do not play in a DVD player they are used only for their capacity to store high resolution images for printing
Each edited high res picture DVD comes with a Personal Usage License for you to print as your heart desires and create your own album if you so wish. The resulting prints will very much depend on the printers you use, inkjet's are not recommended, please use a Professional Lab for your printing needs, or order through us for optimal results.

What happens if it rains? it rains
Some of the best weddings I've captured have been in winter like weather conditions, Sussex and the UK in general seem's to have a micro climate wherever you go. So come sun, rain, sleet or snow I'll be there with you. For formals we capture images inside your wedding venue. I have shot entire weddings inside the wedding venue. To see an example of this, email us and we will point you to an entire wedding photography inside. Winter weddings can deliver unexpected weather conditions equalling that of a summer wedding, so we are happy to shot weddings throughout the winter.

Why don't you offer a thousand image, Quality over Quantity
Please Read...
The phrase here is "Spray and Pray" photography in the hope of getting something that resembles a picture worthy of printing. Each click of the shutter has to mean something to you, your family and me. For this there is a thought process in every moment captured. The mind's eye is working on, the moment, the timing, the lighting, the emotion, I'm mindful of every click of the shutter and how that forms part of your story, every picture has to say something about you, your personality and your day. For this reason I only want to capture what you really want your wedding pictures to say about you and your wedding day, nothing less will suffice and quantity will never form part of my work ethos, you deserve better.

How would you describe your style of wedding photography Please Read....
This is where a lot of photographers get pigeonholed. Documentary Contemporary Vintage the list goes on, fortunately or unfortunately I have a brain, I really like telling the story of a wedding day so that makes me a documentary wedding photographer right. You'd think but the left side of my brain is the creative side so if I see something and think I can create something for you I will. Does that make me (insert new style here...
a Creative Documentary Wedding Photographer I guess so and I'm sticking with this new found style and I don't care if you pigeon hole me it's my style, I'm comfortable in my own skin, tongue firmly in cheek.
Creative Documentary Wedding Photographer
I "Mirror" "You"
Mirror is what people do, you smile they smile, your happy there happy, and that's how a wedding day should be.
You are the keystone to my style of photography if your happy within you'll be amazing out, documenting your day will be a exhilarating journey from beginning to end.

If you throw enough mud at style something stick's, Documentary Style, Contemporary Style, Magazine Style, Fashion Magazine Style, Contemporary Documentary Style, Photojournalistic Style, Traditional Style, Reportage Style, Vintage Style, 1920's/1930's Style,
And then the processing style's Yellow look, the Grunge Look, the Texture Look, the selective Colour Look, I think you get it.
Style a word that's a bit overcooked to burnt to a crisp in photography terms.

How will these style's stand the test of time, for me a document of your day told truly Has to be timeless, now if you add the grunge look or a texture or selective colour I think you'll regret it later. Don't ask me to mess with your pictures or your legacy I won't at any price. Because I want them to be timeless and in time so will You.

What's the best advice you could give a Bride Please Read....

A trained Make Up Artist

Delegate jobs to the bridesmaids/maid of honour on your wedding day, fetching, holding flowers, etc

Have fun in the process and Don't sweat the small stuff
Dress Code
We always dress appropriately for the occasion, firstly asking you what attire you would like from use , Black Tie etc, usually my attire is smart appearance, black suit, black shoes etc, we can accommodate all dress codes in an effort to blend in with other guests. It's important that I blend in with your guests as it makes candid informal unobtrusive documentary photography that much easier.
